This is the most crucial phase of the project, where I can provide the greatest value. I will conduct preliminary appraisals to evaluate the project's options and feasibility. These can range from a sketch design solution to a comprehensive feasibility study, helping you determine the best course of action.

This process will also highlight the need for any necessary approvals and additional consultants, such as a structural engineer, energy consultant or approved building inspector.

Using the initial project brief I will develop outline proposals. I can present a number of initial concepts for you to choose from. I will also liaise with local planners as a priority. The final design brief will reflect your aspirations for your project provide you with a proposal that adds value and improves your quality of space.

I will spend further time at this stage transforming ideas into something that can be built. This includes coordinating the work of other consultants into the designs. Once agreed, the design proposals will then be submitted for planning approval, if required.

At this stage, I will create the technical drawings along with a specification and/or a schedule of works, which will serve as the basis for pricing the tender and constructing the building.

Throughout the construction phase I can carry out regular site visits, answer queries from contractors, and advise on the progression of the project

When the project is ready to handover I can inspect the works and be available after handover and during any defects period to aid with this element of your project.
